Clifford was founded in 1969 by Mr. Clifford Sobey. His objective was to develop and produce top quality, affordable machines for the ferrous wire industry.

His vision has been realized over the years as Clifford developed from a small local company into an internationally recognized producer of technologically advanced machinery.

Clifford’s team of 65 skilled professionals recognizes the requirements of its demanding international customers and concentrates on the manufacture of flexible and efficient welding machines for the wire industry.

Following the acquisition of Clifford by IDEAL in 2004, both companies have seen the benefits of an enlarged product offering as well as strong international customer support.
