The laser strip welding machines, series LAS, were developed to fulfil the increasing market demands in coil joining application for high quality expectations such as:

• Weld seams without overthickness
  
• The weld seams must withstand all subsequent processes such as rolling and deep-drawing, etc.
  
• High-quality steel of high strength or high silicon content have to be processed
• Coated materials have to be joined

Different materials and sheet thicknesses have to be joined

The machines are used for:

• Inspection lines, slitting lines
  
• Zinc coating lines (electrolytic and galvanic)
• Coil coating lines (organic coatings also multilayer coatings)
• Pickling lines
• Rolling mill
  
• Continuous annealing ovens

All these processes and applications can be safely and reliably carried out using an IDEAL Laser coil joining unit.

 

The prerequisite for a good laser-welded seam is an optimally prepared strip edge.

Therefore: Use of laser cutting for a perfect band strip edge preparation.
