Projection welding machine type VPS 589

The grating welding machine type VPS 589 is designed for welding on flat steel, angled or T-shaped on press and pressure welded gratings. The machine is equipped with up with processing units that are 200 mm wide.

 

Each processing unit has

• Hydraulically adjustable electrodes each with 16 kN electrode force
• Welding transformers of 160 kVA rated output
• Clamping units with vertically operating clamping pads each of 40 kN clamping force                       

The machine can be enhanced with as many 200 mm wide processing units as needed.

 

For the process automation there is

• A grating centering device for positioning the edge rod and the grating.
• A length measuring system for automatically setting the output.
• A multi-program welding current control with display screen.
