The electric arc forms the basis of arc welding. It is created by an electric discharge between the welding electrode and the workpiece. The electric arc welds the coils of equal or different materials. Different welding current sources are available for each coil welding machine. The welding current source to be selected for the individual case depends on the material quality, coil thickness and coil surface. Alternatively, we offer flash butt welding machines with separate coil end shears, insertion stops, centring devices and plane deburring for the welding of steel coil up to a width of max. 800 mm.
